Updating a sony bios after a new power supply

When I power it up the green power light turns on, and the fan turns on and hard drive clicks, but the little orange (CPU light?

) flashes a couple of times then goes dead - and the laptop doesn't boot up. Any ideas what's happened here - has the BIOS corrupt? Thanks in advance for any contributions :) -Remove the battery and Power adapter -Press and hold the power button for 30-45 seconds (with battery and power still removed) -Insert just the battery and attempt to boot the laptop.

The application will first check to see if the Intel MEI driver is installed in the PC.

Plug the USB storage device into the motherboard’s USB BIOS Flashback port.

Now press and hold USB BIOS Flashback button/ROG Connect button/onboard BIOS FLBK/Reset button for three seconds until the LED begins to blink, then release.

Download the ‘BIOS updater for New 4th Gen Intel Core Processors’ and relevant BIOS file for your motherboard from ASUS official website at com/support.

Refer to the ‘supported model list’ to confirm your UEFI BIOS version.
