Disable automatic updating of email addresses exchange 2016
There is a project running at the company I work for to separate one of the areas of the business into their own entity.
Among other things this rebranding exercise also includes changing their primary email addresses.
Other things to consider: Any emails sent to the account will be rejected with an NDR, so externally there will be no apparent difference between trying to send to this account and one which does not exist.
He moonlights as a technical author and consultant. Here's how: Step 2: On the General tab, scroll down to "Create contacts for auto-complete." Choose whether you want Gmail to add contacts automatically (the default option), or will add them yourself.Step 3: Press Save Changes at the bottom, and you're done.If you want to update the address book immediately then see "How to force the address book to update" Disabling an account prevents anyone from logging in using the account. It does not prevent emails from being sent tot he account, nor will it prevent others (who have the necessary permissions) from reading emails in the account.
